Where do you conduct the interview ? Generally we come to your home or place of choosing. Most interviews are conducted in a room away from noises if possible. This makes it better for editing and the final production. It is better that the interviewee is seated a little distance from the interviewer and the cameras and lights for the best possible visuals. It is ideal if an interesting background is available. e.g flowers, plants, lamp or scenery through curtains. How long is the Interview ? The interview can often run about 2 hours for a single interview or it may run up to 4 + hours for bigger packages and be scheduled over several sessions. Extra footage can be taken to enhance the production and make it interesting. Possible exta footage could include: Location and drone footage, Interviewee doing their normal routine: e.g. gardening, sport, work. Visiting nearby childhood memories and locations. Interviews at another location Please be aware that this could involve extra time and travel and may involve extra charges. What if I say Something that I don’t want included ? The spontaneous nature of the interview is likely to give the best results and most captivating story, but sometimes we can say things that are better off left out. It is better to mark and replace the narrative at the time of the interview so that post production is easier to achieve tthe results you want. Preparing my Photos & Videos The photos will need to be identified visually so that the correct photo is shown in the final production. Generally we shoot with you describing the photo and talking about it. Then the rough footage is replacec with the photos in post production. This makes it more interesting and ensures you are telling the story about the pictures. Film can also be inserted at an relevent time in the production if required.
